The aluminum violin project has been a very special endeavour. Not only is the violin a masterpiece, but so is the design and manufacturing strategies, equipment and expertise truly masterful. To live up to our claim "we push machining to the limit", we re-designed the wooden body in aluminum and stayed true to the original avant-garde design. The result is a 100% playable violin with a unique sound. The artist Max Grosch describes the sound of the violin as bright with light and clear response as well as a slightly cooler touch than the original.
